Betsy Hoffman Needs To Leave C.U.

She needs to stop acting like an idiot...

University of Colorado President Betsy Hoffman gave an impassioned defense of academic freedom Thursday, warning a faculty audience, "We are in very dangerous times."

She warned about a "new McCarthyism," referring to the blacklisting of individuals in the 1950s in a movement led by U.S. Sen. Joe McCarthy of Wisconsin.

"There's no question that there is a real danger that the group of people that went after (embattled CU Professor) Ward Churchill now feel empowered. I'm real concerned about that."

You should be concerned, especially when you find the people making these claims aren't who they say they are.  But, Betsy, I notice you didn't defend Gary Barnett when he said something that was offensive.  Why are you defending only some free speech?  If Gary Barnett was suspended for offensive speech, why is Ward Churchill still working?  He should be suspended while you investigate, just like Barnett. Do you think I have  a chance of getting an answer to that question?  The answer lies somewhere between slim and none.
