This title almost made me retire from blogging immediately....
CDC Study Finds Links Between Internet Use and Syphilis Infection
YIKES!!!!!!!!....but then I read the rest of the story.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has found a link between internet usage and syphilis infection. The study found that 45 percent of gay and bisexual men in San Francisco diagnosed with syphilis in 2002 met their partners online. The CDC says Internet chat rooms and sex partner sites are becoming more common than bars, bathhouses and sex clubs as venues for meeting partners. The CDC says that Internet-based partner notification can be an effective tool for finding and treating syphilis infections.
Whew! But I noticed that it wasn't the internet that was causing syphillis....IT WAS THE SEX THAT HAPPENED LATER!
Soon we'll be hearing how grocery stores are being linked to pregnancy because people sometimes meet while shopping.
Stop trying to scare the masses people
