A Doctor takes on Insurance Industry

At least the Doc is trying to something about skyrocketing insurance premiums.

One Massachusetts doctor will be taking cash, Visa or MasterCard, but no insurance cards. Brookline gynecologist Dr. Alan Altman says beginning July 1st, he will no longer do business with any insurance company. Altman, who's been practicing medicine for 28 years, has put up a price list in his office for his various services. He says insurance companies are hurting the health care system by creating hours of paperwork for doctors and paying them less than what their services are worth. Altman told the "Boston Globe," "I don't want to be a prisoner of the system anymore."

It's just a shame that the medical profession has become so beleagured that it has to come to this for doctors.

Bye Bye to Gilligan

This just came across the wire...

A reporter who accused the British government of hyping its case for war has resigned. The BBC says it's been a difficult time for Andrew Gilligan. He said in a radio report the British government, quote, "sexed up" the risk posed by Saddam Hussein.

I haven't seen heads roll like this since the invention of the guillotine. Now Gilligan will have a chance to "sex up" his resume.

An Enemy to Energy

As a reporter, I have many "sources" from which I can extract "information". Last night, I talked with one source. I'll call him/her "X". The individual told me about a scourge that has paralyzed energy companies around the country. This evil is responsible for roughly 14% of all power failures. This evil is responsible for jacking up energy prices for you and me due to it's unrepentant destruction.

We must do everything we can to get rid of this problem, this scourge, this evil. So my fellow Americans help me to abolish.....

Something to Clear Up

Tod from tsbspeaks, makes a good point about this post and said that I shouldn't lump all liberals together in regards to silence about Palestinian suicide bombings.

I will agree with him that not all liberals should be lumped together, but I am not so smart an individual to presume what people are thinking. I can only go by what people say. And as I sit here looking over my news browser, I see nothing from the left condemning these bombings.

There may well be people as disgusted as I about these from the left but until I hear it from their lips I can't assume that's what they believe.

That being said Tod brings up a great point and has a great website. Go check it out.

Just a Reminder

Just a reminder. 29-years ago today....

...an explosion rocked the headquarters of the U.S. State Department in Washington, D.C. No one was hurt, but the damage was extensive, impacting twenty offices on three separate floors. Hours later, another bomb was found at a military induction center in Oakland, California, and safely detonated. A domestic terrorist group called the Weather Underground claimed responsibility. Remember them?

Who were these extremists? The Weather Underground -- originally called the Weathermen, taken from a line in a Bob Dylan song -- was a small, violent offshoot of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), created in the turbulent ‘60s to promote social change.

Just a reminder about the truth about the 60's left.

Where's the Outrage?

Another Palestinian straps a bomb to himself to kill others. And it's just another day in the United States. As I peruse my news browser, I hear nothing....NOTHING. Are we really at the point in history once again where Jews don't matter? Are we back in the 1930's?

I'm especially outraged at the Left. These are the people that yell and shout about human rights, and peace not war. But when Jews die, they act like the victims deserved it.

They don't understand our disdain for their hypocracy. They think their enlightened. They are not. The Left, when they keep silent are no better than the animals who use their bones as shrapnel.

I am sick! And the hypocritical left is the cause.

Lighter Posting

I'm trying to keep up with my posting, but right now work is acting like...well...work. I have a couple of posts at etalkinghead go check em out. In the meantime, I'll keep chugging along right here.

This is a real Waterbaby

An American man says he "overreacted a little" when he threw water on a crying baby while onboard a flight from Miami to Brazil. Ronald Duffy of Pennsylvania was traveling to spend Carnival with his Brazilian girlfriend. While on the long flight, Duffy complained he was unable to sleep when a baby started to cry. He then asked a flight attendant for a glass of water and doused the child with it. According to a Sao Paulo newspaper, the other passengers, quote "nearly lynched him'' after the dousing and cheered when police boarded the plane and arrested him. His visa was cancelled, with officials saying he had an "inconvenient attitude." Duffy was still trying to find a flight home today, after the airline that brought him to Brazil refused to fly him back.

Just another example of something NOT TO DO when on an airplane.
