Could the Hummer be the "official" SUV of Los Angeles? A City Council Committee is kicking around the idea of following cities such as New York and San Diego by introducing corporate sponsorship opportunities as a way to raise money. The "Los Angeles Times" reports Councilman Eric Garcetti has asked a graduate class at the University of Southern California to help explore opportunities and find out what other cities are doing with corporate tie-ins. One councilman envisions an official motorcycle of the LAPD.
Not a bad way to create income without raising taxes. I'm sure the proposal will cause outrage and a lawsuit of two.
Nah it's a bad idea. After all, according to your post right after this one, hummers increase the risk for oral cancer. I don't know if any SUV is worth an increased risk of oral cancer.
