Someone says Kerry is weak on defense and John Kerry or Max Cleland claim umbrage because they served in Vietnam. Someone says Kerry voted against the B-2 bomber, John Kerry or Max Cleland call foul because they served in Vietnam. Someone says John Kerry is more liberal than Ted Kennedy and....well you know. Check this out....
Former Georgia Democratic Senator Max Cleland is lashing out at Republican National Committee Chairman Ed Gillespie. Cleland, in a teleconference arranged by the Kerry campaign, calls it "the height of irony" for Gillespie, who never served in the military, to label John Kerry as weak on defense. Cleland says for Gillespie to talk about John Kerry is "like a mackerel in the moonlight. It both shines and stinks at the same time."Cleland, a Vietnam veteran and triple amputee, notes that neither Gillespie or President Bush served in combat. He says it's time to ask them tough questions about "why they are not taking care of our troops in Iraq, and why they are not taking better care of veterans back home."
Is this the only response we're gonna get from Kerry?
Hey Senator, you want paper or plastic?
Are you saying I'm unpatriotic, because I served in Vietnam.
Geez Senator, why so sensitive about your record?
Are you ashamed of everything you've done SINCE you served in Vietnam?
