At least one Jewish leader is feeling optimistic after viewing Mel Gibson's film about the last 12 hours of the life of Jesus Christ. Morris Casuto, the regional director of the Anti-Defamation League in San Diego, says even though "The Passion of the Christ'' is marked by, quote, "mind-numbing brutality,'' the film is stunning. Casuto believes it could serve to renew a commitment in the Christian and Jewish communities to meet and respect each other's views. "The Passion of the Christ'' opened nationwide yesterday.
It's interesting how different reviews can be after actually seeing the movie.
