When Appeasement Doesn't Work

CNN has these guys as examples...

The Arabic-language TV network Al-Jazeera broadcast videotape Saturday showing two French journalists who apparently have been taken hostage in Iraq by a group calling itself the Islamic Army in Iraq.

The journalists, Christian Chesnot with Radio France International and Georges Malbrunot with the newspaper Le Figaro, were reported missing the morning of August 21. It was not know where they were being held.

According to Al-Jazeera, the kidnappers are demanding that the French government overturn a recently passed law that bans Muslim students from wearing headscarves in French public schools.

Add this piece of evidence to the millions of others to illustrate that the only thing that matters to Islamists is that your NOT Muslim. I don't want these guys killed, but I think that France is too far gone into denial to believe that they could possibly be a target.

I expect to hear it is the United States' fault any minute.

You've got to be kidding me. France has always realized that they've been a targer. They've been dealing with Islamic extermism ever since thier war in Algera back in the 60's. They've been fighting this battle longer and are smart enough to realize that you cannot destroy terrorism with millitarism alone.
