A dog-gone sweet moment...
A California man is celebrating Christmas with his "best friend" thanks to the Internet. Matt Strong, a 27-year-old Sacramento resident, split up with his wife more than two years ago. She got the dog "Mikey" and moved to Lake Tahoe. Circumstances forced her to take Mikey to a local animal shelter. Fast forward to last month and to a still sad Matt Strong sitting at his computer late one night wondering what became of Mikey. He types "Tahoe Mikey" into the Google search engine and to his amazement up pops a picture of Mikey. He e-mails the shelter and finds out Mikey is still there after two unsuccessful adoptions. Now Matt and Mikey have been reunited and Mikey has his own website that tells his tale of reuniting with Matt. The MikeyDog.com website also promotes animal shelters that don't euthanize.
The best present either one of them could have had this holiday season.
