If you have a busy Memorial Day weekend planned, you can still take five minutes out for church. The Metropolitan Church of the Quad Cities in Davenport, Iowa, is sponsoring "Drive-Thru Church" from 10 a.m. till noon Sunday. Using a fish theme, church members will greet drivers dressed as "anglers." They'll deliver communion in a clean bait cup in a tackle box. The anglers will also provide the daily scripture and a take-home homily.
I guess it's better than nothing, unfortunately Davenport also houses several casino boats, so I'm not sure the "drive-thru" idea is really balancing things out.
